There is still time to apply to become a Police Support Volunteer with South Wales Police in the Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan area.
As a Police Support Volunteer you will be involved with the following, and much more:
> Cardiff Safety Bus
> Bike-marking events
> Supporting a number of departments including Community Safety and Neighbourhood Policing Teams
> Working alongside officers and PCSOs at music events and other large events held in Cardiff
> Attending training sessions including conflict management, customer service skills and first aid
> Supporting the University Liaison Team during the Freshers period
To apply you must:
> Be 18+
> Have been a resident of the UK for more than a year
Applications are open to both the student community and general public in the Cardiff and Vale area.
Commitments:
> Student Volunteers are expected to complete 12 hours per month (during the academic year)
> Community Volunteers are expected to completed 8 hours per month (during the calendar year)
